Terms of Service

Last updated 24 September 2026. These terms cover lexipte.com and the LexiPTE apps.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the LexiPTE website at lexipte.com, the LexiPTE iOS and Android apps and the services provided through them (together, the "Services"). The Services are operated by Mobiqo LTD, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms are a legal agreement between you and us.

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using the Services you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. We may update these Terms from time to time; we will post the new version here and, for material changes, tell you in the Services or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply.

2. What LexiPTE is

LexiPTE is an independent study service for the Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic and PTE Core): practice questions, mock exams, AI feedback, courses and vocabulary tools.

LexiPTE is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Pearson. PTE, PTE Academic and PTE Core are trademarks of their owners. Scores and feedback produced by LexiPTE, including AI scoring, are practice estimates to help you study. They are not official Pearson scores and do not predict or guarantee any result in the real exam.

3. Use licence

Subject to your continuing compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial study. This is not a transfer of title, and under this licence you may not:

  • distribute, display, sell, transmit, publish, modify, reproduce, rent or transfer the Services or any part of them, including questions, answers, explanations and audio;
  • remove, modify or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice in the Services;
  • create any derivative works based on the Services;
  • use any data mining, robots, scrapers or similar data gathering or extraction methods;
  • attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained in the Services, or interfere with their security or operation;
  • share your account or let other people use it.

By using the Services you confirm that (1) you are at least 18 years old, or you have reached the minimum age in the country where you live and your parent or guardian has read these Terms, agrees to them on your behalf and supervises your use; and (2) you are allowed to use the Services in the country where you live.

This licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms, and we may suspend or end it as described in section 10.

4. Your account

You can sign in with an email code, Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and sign-in accounts secure and for the activity on your LexiPTE account. Tell us straight away at support@mobiqo.tech if you think someone else has used it. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Some features are free. LexiPTE Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly). The price, currency, taxes and renewal date are shown before you pay. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Web purchases are processed through Stripe. Payments are made through Link, Stripe's payment service, which acts as the seller of record for the transaction, so your bank statement shows a "LINK.COM" descriptor. Subscriptions bought inside the iOS or Android app are processed by Apple or Google under their terms and are managed in your App Store or Google Play account.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. AI features and your recordings

When you ask for AI feedback, your written answer or voice recording is sent to our AI provider to be scored and returned to you. AI feedback can be wrong or incomplete; use it as guidance, not as a guaranteed assessment. AI scoring may be limited to a number of requests per day or per plan, as shown in the Services.

Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringes other people's rights, or contains other people's personal data without permission. We may refuse or remove such content. How we handle recordings and answers is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Services and their content, including questions, explanations, sample answers, audio, images, text, software, designs and the LexiPTE name and logo (the "Service Content"), and all intellectual property rights in them are owned by us, our licensors, or both. Except for the limited licence in these Terms, you have no right, title or interest in the Services or the Service Content. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

You keep the rights in the answers, recordings and other content you submit (the "User Content"). You give us a licence to store, process and display your User Content only as needed to provide the Services to you, including sending it to our processors for scoring.

8. Third-party links and services

The Services may link to third-party websites, such as official Pearson pages, and rely on third-party services such as sign-in and payment providers. We do not control those websites and services and are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We provide the Services with reasonable care and skill, but we do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using them will lead to any particular exam score, visa or admission outcome.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, business, opportunity or data, arising out of or in connection with the Services. Our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in that period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Australian Consumer Law and other consumer laws that apply to you.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, or block your use of the Services, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, misuse the Services, or if we are required to by law. We will tell you why unless the law or security reasons prevent us. If we close your account without such a reason, we will refund any unused part of a paid subscription. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 7, 9 and 12) continue to apply.

11. Privacy

How we collect and use personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@mobiqo.tech so we can try to resolve it.

13. Apple devices

If you use the LexiPTE app obtained through the Apple App Store (the "Application"):

  • these Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Application or its content;
  • you may use the Application only on an Apple device that you own or control;
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the Application;
  • if the Application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple's only warranty obligation is to refund the purchase price, if any;
  • we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Application, including any claim that it infringes a third party's intellectual property rights;
  • you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
  • you will comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the Application;
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If any part of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, only that part is removed and the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example if our business is sold, and we will tell you if this happens; your rights under these Terms will not be affected.
